BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Super League (CSL) side Chengdu Rongcheng will on Thursday play in their home stadium for the first time this season when they host Hebei FC.
The newly-promoted side will move back to Chengdu from Haikou, Hainan Province, where they have been based to play their home games so far this season, according to a statement by the Chengdu Football Association on Monday.
"Thanks to strong support from relevant departments and coordinated efforts of all concerned parties, the first home game of Chengdu Rongcheng as a Chinese Super League team has been scheduled to take place on November 3 in Shuangliu Sports Center [of Chengdu]," the statement read.
Ticketing arrangements of this match will be announced depending on the assessment of the COVID-19 situation, the statement added.
This game will also mark the first time a Chengdu team has played a Chinese top-flight tie at home since November 2, 2011, when Chengdu Tiancheng played against Guangzhou Evergrande.
Chengdu Rongcheng, who upset league leaders Wuhan Three Towns 1-0 in their last game, currently sit eighth in the CSL table, while Hebei FC are languishing at the bottom with only one win. ■
