MEXICO CITY, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Pachuca came from behind to secure a 3-1 home win over Toluca and clinch the Liga MX Apertura title on Sunday.
The result handed Pachuca an 8-2 aggregate win after they had prevailed 5-1 in Thursday's first leg.
The Tuzos went ahead on the night through Raul Lopez, whose low effort found the bottom left corner.
Victor Guzman equalized for the hosts in first-half stoppage time with a precise finish from a tight angle.
Nicolas Ibanez squandered a chance to give the hosts the lead when he missed a penalty attempt just before the halftime whistle.
But the former Atletico San Luiz forward made amends just after the restart by sweeping home from eight yards following a Luis Chavez set piece.
The Tuzos put the result beyond doubt via Gustavo Cabral's well-taken penalty 15 minutes from time.
It marked Pachuca's seventh Liga MX title and their first since 2016. ■
