JERUSALEM, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Spanish duo Jordi Xammar and Nora Brugman on Saturday won the silver medal in the 470 sailing World Championship held in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of the Israeli village Sdot Yam.
Already on Friday, German duo Luise Wanser and Philipp Autenrieth secured the gold medal, therefore the race on Saturday decided only the silver and bronze medals.
In the race featuring 10 pairs, Xammar and Brugman finished first, advancing from fourth place overall to second place for the silver.
Camille Lecointre and Jeremie Mion of France came sixth in the race and dropped from second to third place overall to take the bronze medal. ■
