BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Walter Bou scored two second-half goals on Tuesday as Velez Sarsfield came from behind to secure a 3-1 home victory over Central Cordoba on the final day of the Argentine Primera Division season.
Renzo Lopez put the visitors ahead from the center of the penalty area before Lucas Jansen equalized from close range following Santiago Castro's headed pass.
The hosts went ahead through Bou, who slotted a cool finish into the bottom right corner after combining with Francisco Ortega.
Bou extended the advantage by converting a 75th-minute penalty after Abiel Osorio was brought down by Cesar Rigamonti.
The result meant Velez finished 26th in the 28-team standings with just six wins from 27 games. Central Cordoba ended the campaign in 16th place with 10 wins.
In Tuesday's only other Primera Division fixture, a late Gaston Suso goal earned Platense a 1-1 home draw with Lanus, who had taken an early lead through Jose Sand. Platense finished 19th and Lanus 27th. ■
