KATHMANDU, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- People in Nepal's capital Kathmandu flow to local markets to shop for the Tihar festival, or the festival of lights. Tihar, the five-day Hindu festival which falls on Oct. 22-27 this year in the South Asian country, is marked by the exchange of gifts, the lighting of candles and lamps, and the worship of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth.
