NEW DELHI, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- India on Friday test-fired "Agni Prime", a new generation of ballistic missiles, from off the coast of the eastern state of Odisha, said media reports.
The "Agni Prime" is a two-stage canisterized solid-propellant missile with dual redundant navigation and guidance system, with a maximum range of 2,000 kilometers.
The first test was conducted in June last year, and the second in December. ■
