BANGKOK, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- The rainy season runs between June and October in Thailand. The authorities have issued a warning of heavy rainfall and potential flash floods from Monday until Friday this week in southern provinces of the Southeast Asian country.
According to local media, the tourist island of Phuket is part of the region on alert. The island on Sunday suffered a major flooding, which led to traffic bottlenecks and inundated roads.
