BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.16 percent to 3,089.74 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.58 percent to 11,227.22 points at midday. ■
