MADRID, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) --Rising costs have impacted sheep and cattle farmers in Spain, though inflation dropped to 9 percent in September from 10.5 percent in August.
Rising energy costs are believed to be responsible for pushing up food prices in all parts of the supply chain.
Spain has also been affected by one of the worst droughts on record, which has also led to more expensive animal feed.
Some farmers have chosen to move away from expensive supplements, by returning to more ecological farming with hardy local breeds.
