BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Two books recording the inspection tours that Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, conducted in impoverished regions, as well as his concern for the building of a moderately prosperous society, have been published.
One of the books, titled "Xi Jinping's Poverty Alleviation Footprints," is a vivid record of the touching moments when Xi, braving freezing snow or scorching heat, and traversing hills and rivers, conducted inspection tours in 14 contiguous areas of extreme poverty and visited more than 20 impoverished villages.
It reflects how the people in the then-impoverished regions, under the care and guidance of Xi, have gained a sense of fulfillment and happiness in shaking off poverty and achieving moderate prosperity.
The other book, titled "Xi Jinping's Concern for Moderate Prosperity," gives a panoramic view of how the whole Party and people of all ethnic groups under the leadership of Xi have achieved the historic goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
Both books were jointly published by the People's Publishing House and the Xinhua Publishing House. ■
