JAKARTA, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Since March, the U.S. Federal Reserve has lifted interest rates five times, boosting the Fed's benchmark interest rate to a range of 3 to 3.25 percent.
Mohammad Faisal, an Indonesian analyst, said that a stronger U.S. dollar arising from the Fed's interest rate hikes will intensify pressure on other economies, and leave emerging markets particularly vulnerable.
