TEHRAN, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- A senior Iranian military commander said Thursday that the Ground Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) will hold a large-scale drill in the country's northern border areas and the northwestern region of Aras in the coming days, according to the IRGC's media arm Sepah News.
The military exercise is aimed at increasing the combat preparedness of the IRGC Ground Force, Sepah News cited the force's commander, Mohammad Pakpour, as saying.
He said the massive drill is part of the scheduled annual missions of the IRGC Ground Force. ■
