DHAKA, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Bangladeshi Buddhists celebrated "Prabarana Purnima" -- the second-largest religious festival in the country.

The festival also marks the conclusion of the three-month-long seclusion of the Buddhist monks inside their monasteries for self-edification and atonement of their defilement.

As part of marking the day, Buddhists release candle-lit air balloons made of colored paper and set them free in the night sky.
