TASHKENT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Japan's winning streak ended on the third day of the 2022 Judo World Championships as Brazil and Mongolia won a gold medal each on Saturday.

Brazil's judoka Rafaela Silva, 2016 Rio Olympic champion, defeated Japan's Funakubo Haruka in the women's -57kg category final by a waza-ari.

Canada's Jessica Klimkait and Mongolia's Enkhriilen Lkhagvatogoo bagged the bronze in the category. China's Cai Qi failed to make the second round.

In the men's -73kg category, Mongolia's Olympic medallist Tsogtbaatar Tsend Ochir beat Soichi Hashimoto of Japan to claim the gold. At the very end of the competition, Hashimoto launched a sweep that was perfectly countered in masterful fashion by Tsend Ochir.

Brazil's Daniel Cargnin and Azerbaijan's Hidayat Heydarov shared the bronze. China's Qing Daga lost to Canada's Arthur Margelidon in the second round.

Japan had already bagged four golds from the first two days and topped the medal tally. The Judo World Championships runs from October 6 to 13.
