BEIJING, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- A 16-strong candidate list has been handed over to the 2022 China Basketball Hall of Fame after the decision by a 500-member nomination committee, according to the Chinese Basketball Association.
The 16 candidates from 30 nominees picked up by 100 basketball-related parties will be reviewed by the China Basketball Hall of Fame Final Review Committee to decide the final ten members, which will include four male players, three female players and three coaches.
The 16 candidates comprise six male players, five female players and five coaches. The complete list is as follows:
Male players: Mengke Bateer, Hu Weidong, Kuang Lubin, Liu Yudong, Mu Tiezhu, Wang Zhizhi.
Female players: Cong Xuedi, Li Shaofen, Li Xin, Song Xiaobo, Zheng Haixia.
Coaches: Jiang Xingquan, Li Chunjiang, Li Qiuping, Wang Fei, Xu Limin.
The final review will start in mid-October, and the final 10 enshrinees will be announced in November. The enshrinees will then enter the China Basketball Hall of Fame with 15 tenured inductees and a collective comprising the "outstanding new China basketball 50". ■
