ROME, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Juventus eventually breathed a sigh of relief on Sunday as they dominated Bologna 3-0 on home turf.
The Bianconeri had had an awful start to the new season, only picking up two domestic victories before Sunday's game and suffering back-to-back defeats in the Champions league.
Juve entered the Allianz Stadium without the suspended Angel Di Maria, but had Manuel Locatelli, Arkadiusz Milik, Wojciech Szczesny, Alex Sandro and Adrien Rabiot back into action.
Juve were more aggressive from the start and broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute as Dusan Vlahovic laid the ball off for his Serbian compatriot Filip Kostic, who notched his maiden goal for Juve from a tight angle.
The home side extended the lead in the 58th minute when Weston McKennie rolled across from the right and Vlahovic steered a header into the net.
Milik sealed the game minutes later as the Pole continued his fearsome form to hit in a missile.
The win sent Juve to seventh place with 13 points, four points behind fourth-placed AC Milan. The two sides will meet at San Siro on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Lazio claimed a 4-0 victory over Spezia thanks to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's brace, while Sassuolo humiliated Salernitana in a 5-0 drubbing.
Also on Sunday, Atalanta edged Fiorentina 1-0 thanks to Ademola Lookman's goal, Monza registered their second consecutive victory by beating Sampdoria 3-0 away, and Lecce drew with Cremonese 1-1. ■
