JERUSALEM, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Novak Djokovic added the ATP Tel Aviv Open crown to his title record after defeating Croatian Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-4 in the final on Sunday evening.

The Serbian, ranked 7th in the ATP world rankings, did not lose a set in the tournament held at the Expo complex in the Israeli coastal city of Tel Aviv.

Djokovic needed one hour and 34 minutes to gain his 89th title in his career. He broke Cilic's serve once to win the first set, then broke again the first game of the second set on the way to the overall win.

It was Djokovic's 19th win over Cilic from 21 matches played between the two so far.

"I hope Marin and I will continue to fight against the youngsters for many years," Djokovic said. "The Israeli fans showed a lot of passion for tennis, I will take a lot of positive emotions from this week."
