Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker NIO celebrated in Biatorbagy, Hungary on Friday the shipment of the first battery swap station produced by its Power Europe Plant, NIO's first overseas plant.
The station will be sent to Germany.
NIO will supply battery swap stations to its entire European network from the new 10,000-square meter plant located in Biatorbagy, 20 km west of Budapest.
Liu Bo, economic and commerce counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary said at the event that Hungary's good business environment has encouraged foreign investments, expressing hope to further the cooperation between China and Hungary in green sectors.
According to a company statement, in the second half of this year, NIO's comprehensive power services and vehicle products will become available in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark.
