BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit eastern Taiwan's Taitung County at 1:19 p.m. Sunday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.09 degrees north latitude and 121.27 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 12 km, the CENC said. ■
