WARSAW, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Adam Gyurcso's stunning free-kick gifted AEK Larnaca a 1-0 win in the UEFA Europa League against Dynamo Kyiv in Krakow, Poland on Thursday.

The Ukrainian side were seen as favorites, but the visitors made a perfect start to break the deadlock in the eighth minute when Adam Gyurcso's powerful free-kick put AEK Larnaca in front. For the Hungarian midfielder, it was a return to Poland as he played in the Polish Ekstraklasa in the past for Pogon Szczecin.

The team coached by Mircea Lucescu responded in the 29th minute. Vitaliy Buyalskyi found the net, but the goal was ruled out by the referee for a tight offside on Vladyslav Dubinchak.

In the second half, the team from Cyprus focused on the defense. Dynamo took possession and created several chances but were not able to level the result.

In Group B's other match, Rennes drew with Fenerbahce 2-2. Both Rennes and Fenerbahce have earned four points in two games, while AEK Larnaca have one point less. Dynamo are still waiting for their first points in the current Europa League season.
