ISLAMABAD, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan recorded 139 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the overall number of confirmed cases to 1,571,091, its ministry of health said on Sunday.
The new infections were detected after diagnostic testing was performed on 15,702 samples.
A total of 30,599 people died from COVID-19 in Pakistan, with no more deaths reported on Saturday, said the ministry.
Currently there are 94 patients who are in critical condition in the country. ■
