LUDING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- After a 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Luding County in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Monday, more than 800 villagers in Detuo Town, including about 50 children, were temporarily relocated to Luding No. 2 high school.

Since Sept. 6, 11 kindergarten teachers and ten college and high school students have volunteered to take care of these children. They bought balloons, stationery, and other supplies, and changed three tents into classrooms where they can draw pictures and play games with the children. On Sept. 10, when the Mid-Autumn Festival coincided with China's Teachers' Day, they also made creative "mooncakes" with plasticine together. The volunteers will continue to take care of these children and tutor them in such "tent classrooms".
