ULAN BATOR, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia kicked off an annual international horseback archery tournament near the country's capital on Saturday.
The two-day sporting event called "Khiimori" aims to boost the development of special interest tourism, the Mongolian horseback archers' association said in a statement.
More than 30 horseback archers from over 10 countries and regions, including Mongolia, South Korea and Russia, are competing in the fifth edition of the tournament, it said.
Several other activities such as horseback archery show, equestrian circus performances as well as folk music and dance concert are also expected to be held during the event. ■
