RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Rock in Rio, one of the world's biggest music festivals, has returned to the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
This year's festival started on Friday at the Rio Olympic Park with the British heavy-metal band, Iron Maiden, coming into the spotlight.
World famous singers and bands, including Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Coldplay, will attend the seven-day music festival, which is expected to draw an audience of 700,000.
Founded in 1985, Rock in Rio is a biannual musical event. ■
