RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo will give equal importance to each of the three competitions in which they are still vying for silverware, according to manager Dorival Junior.
The Rio de Janeiro giants edged toward a place in the Copa Libertadores final on Wednesday with a 4-0 away win over Velez Sarsfield in the first leg of their semifinal in Buenos Aires.
Dorival's men are also second in the Brazilian Serie A championship and have a 3-1 lead over Sao Paulo after the first leg of their Copa do Brasil semifinal.
"In the Copa do Brasil, we have one game to go to reach the final, just as we do in the Libertadores," the veteran coach said.
"We will be focused in both games and work to the maximum because nothing is certain. We have to be as careful as possible and respect all of our opponents in every way."
Flamengo's next assignment is a home Serie A duel against Ceara on Sunday. ■
