YANGON, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reimposed a visa-free visit policy for citizens of eight ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
The ministry said in a statement that diplomatic passport holders, official/service passport holders and ordinary passport holders from the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam and Brunei are allowed to enter the country visa-free starting from Thursday.
While visiting the country, citizens from the eight ASEAN countries are required to abide by the rules included in the bilateral visa-free agreements and the health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. ■
