BRATISLAVA, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- After reaching group stage of the UEFA European Conference League on Thursday, SK Slovan Bratislava remained on a high note, stretching its winning streak to six in the seventh round of the Slovak premiership Fortuna Liga on Sunday.

Armenian midfielder Tigran Barseghyan headed in a center pass from the left side in the extra time to help Bratislava edge MFK Ruzomberok 1-0 in a battle between last season's champion and runner-up.

With the victory, Bratislava leads the standings with 18 points.

"It is always tough to play in Ruzomberok. I had to make several changes in the line-up due to fatigue and injuries, but I think we were truly better by that one goal today," said Slovan coach Vladimir Weiss.

Elsewhere in Fortuna Liga, one of the three newcomers of the season, FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova, continues to amaze and moved up to the second after crushing bottom team MFK Tatran Liptovsky Mikulas 5-2.

FC Spartak Trnava also had a hard time with the newcomers, only drawing 1-1 with MFK Skalica, thanks to a big scoop of luck.

MSK Zilina moved to fourth as 21-year-old midfielder Patrik Myslovic scored both goals to secure the 2-0 victory over MFK Zemplin Michalovce.

Substitute midfielder Filip Bainovic scored twice only three minutes apart and AS Trencin came back from one goal down to beat FC DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda 2-1.
