MADRID, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Sevilla and Valladolid remain winless after the first two games of the La Liga season as the two sides drew 1-1 in the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Friday night.
The visitors stunned Sevilla when Anuar Mohamed Tuhami scored with a low shot in the 80th minute.
Sevilla had struggled to break the recently promoted side down despite giving former Real Madrid midfielder, Isco, his debut in the 68th minute, but they were gifted an equalizer five minutes from time after a dreadful error from Valladolid keeper Sergio Asenjo gave Karim Rekik a tap-in to level the scores.
There was a big flare-up in the closing minutes after a wild challenge from Lucas Ocampos saw both benches face up with Sevilla's Marcos Acuna and Valladolid's Jawad El Yamiq sent off.
Rayo Vallecano had another positive result in their second visit to Barcelona in a week when they won 2-0 away to Espanyol to follow up their 0-0 draw in the Camp Nou.
Rayo were reduced to 10 men after just 15 minutes when central defender Florian Lejeune was sent off after seeing two yellow cards in three minutes, but Espanyol were also reduced to 10 on the half hour when Sergi Gomez was shown a direct red for using his arm following a VAR review.
Isi Palazon put Rayo ahead from outside the area with a smartly taken free kick in the 40th minute and Pathe Ciss doubled the lead of the Madrid-based club just before the hour, when he was left unmarked in the Espanyol area.
There are three games on Saturday including Real Madrid's visit to Celta Vigo, while FC Barcelona face a difficult visit to play Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid entertain Villarreal on Sunday. ■
