TASHKENT, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- An explosion of a gas cylinder in a bus has killed six people and injured 16 more in central Uzbekistan, the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Thursday.
The blast occurred in a gas station in the Akaltyn district of the Syrdarya region Thursday afternoon. The bus explosion happened after refueling, the ministry said in a report.
A preliminary investigation into the accident is underway, it said. ■
