RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Botafogo has reached a deal to sign striker Tiquinho Soares from Olympiacos, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Friday.
Tiquinho, who had two years running on his deal with the Greek club, will be contracted to Botafogo until December 2024.
"We welcome Tiquinho, who will arrive in the coming days to begin his journey with Brazilian football's most traditional club," read a statement on Botafogo's social media networks.
The 31-year-old made 50 appearances for Olympiacos and scored 14 goals after joining the club on a free transfer in July last year.
He is the seventh new arrival at Botafogo in the current mid-season transfer window, joining Marcal, Carlos Eduardo, Gabriel Pires, Luis Henrique, Adryelson and Danilo Barbosa. ■
