BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Shandong Luneng midfielder Son Jun-ho has returned to China after having recovered from injury, his agent said on Thursday.

The South Korean player picked up a right knee injury in a Chinese Super League match between Shandong Luneng and Dalian Pro in early July.

He then went back to South Korea to receive treatment.

The 32-year-old midfielder has recovered and returned to China, according to his agent Zhou Kaixuan.

"Coming back from injury, having landed in Qingdao," Zhou wrote on social media under a picture showing Son clad in a Shandong Luneng jersey.

Son will have to serve a one-week mandatory quarantine and three-day home isolation before being able to join up with the Shandong team.

In his absence, Shandong beat Tianjin Jinmen Tigers 1-0 on Saturday, their first game after the CSL campaign restarted in early August.

Shandong Luneng currently sits second in the CSL table with 27 points, four points behind league leader Wuhan Three Towns.
