GUANGZHOU, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- "Liqiu," or the beginning of autumn, is the first day of autumn on the Chinese lunar calendar.
The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms.
The beginning of autumn, the 13th solar term of the year, falls on Aug. 7 this year.
