MOSCOW, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The Russian armed forces will conduct the Vostok (East)-2022 strategic exercise from Aug. 30 to Sept. 5, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday.
Russia's Eastern Military District, together with the Airborne Troops, the Long Range Aviation and Military Transport Aviation and military contingents from other countries, will participate, the ministry said in a statement.
The drills will take place at 13 training grounds of the Eastern Military District with a focus on "ensuring military security," it added. ■
