China was among the first countries to pledge emergency humanitarian aid to Afghanistan following the destructive earthquake that struck the country on June 22.
Residents in Paktika province and Khost province, whose houses were destroyed in the earthquake, expressed gratitude to China for sending timely humanitarian aid.
"We received a tent to sit in from China and also a package of basic necessities for daily life. I appreciate China's help." "We are grateful to China for helping us in time." said quake-affected villagers.
