DHAKA, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's inflation increased to 7.56 percent in June, the highest rate in about nine years.

According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) released by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday, food inflation in the country rose to 8.37 percent in June, compared to 7.42 percent in the previous month.

Non-food items inflation, however, increased to 6.33 percent in June from 6.08 percent in May, the data showed.
