JERUSALEM, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Israeli basketball Super League club Ironi Ness Ziona has signed former NBA player C. J. Williams, the club announced on Sunday.
The 32-year-old swingman signed for one season with the Israeli 2021 FIBA Europe Cup winner.
Williams played college basketball at NC State until 2012. Five years later, he began his NBA career, which included the Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves between 2017 and 2019.
He played a total of 53 NBA games, averaging 4.7 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 15.8 minutes per game.
In Europe, Williams played for Engomis of Cyprus, French sides Dijon and Elan Bearnais, Pistoia of Italy and Turkish club Yalovaspor.
"I hope to bring a level of passion, team spirit and heart that has never been seen here before," Williams said. "I'm excited for the work that awaits us." ■
