MADRID, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid defender Victor Chust has ended a ten-year relationship with the club by signing a four-year contract with Cadiz, the La Liga club confirmed on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Cadiz and played an important part in their recovery under coach Sergio Gonzalez in the second half of the campaign as they narrowly avoided relegation.
Cadiz have paid around one million euros to make the move permanent, although Real Madrid have reserved a percentage of the profit from any possible future sale.
The Valencia-born central defender joined Real Madrid as a 12-year-old and progressed through the ranks, making two appearances in La Liga and one in the Copa del Rey for the first team in the 2020-21 season. ■
