ISLAMABAD, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's national cricket team is undergoing a training camp as part of the preparation for its upcoming tour to Sri Lanka next month.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said members of the team are participating in physical training, scenario-based matches as well as going through different fitness tests at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium near the capital Islamabad.

The six-day training camp comprised two warm-up matches and psychological and motivational lectures.

Following the conclusion of the training camp on July 1, the team will leave for Sri Lanka to play two test matches against the hosts.

Pakistan will play its first five-day match against Sri Lanka starting on July 16 at Galle. Both teams would lock horns in the second match to be held from July 24 to 28 in Colombo.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other in 55 Test matches so far since 1982, with the former winning 20 games and the latter succeeding 16 times, while 19 matches went drawn.
