WARSAW, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The legendary ski jumper Adam Malysz was announced on Sunday as the new president of the Polish Ski Association (PZN).
Malysz was the sole candidate in Saturday's election for the new PZN president, with 77 of the 80 delegates voting for him.
During the Beijing 2022, Malysz worked with the Poland ski jumping team as a sporting director. The four-time Olympic medalist replaced his former coach Apoloniusz Tajner, who has been head of the association for 17 years.
"We have some new ideas to implement. I'm aware that it's a tough challenge but I'm ready. We will be hard working from the first day," Malysz said. ■
