ULAN BATOR, June 24 (Xinhua) -- The Ulan Bator Grand Slam 2022 kicked off in Mongolia's capital on Friday.
A total of 255 judokas from 30 countries and regions are competing in the tournament which is being co-organized by the Mongolian Judo Association, the International Judo Federation, and the municipal government of Mongolia's capital Ulan Bator.
The tournament is the first qualifying round for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and has a total prize fund of 154,000 euros.
The event is scheduled to finish on Sunday. ■
