DOHA, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Gymnastics Championships came to an end on Saturday while China captured more than half of the gold medals here.

China won eight of all 14 gold medals of the Asian Gymnastics Championships, including men's and women's team and all-around titles.

The 17-year-old Wu Ran was one of the biggest winner on the last day as she pocketed two gold medals at balance beam and women's floor exercise events.

"It is my international debut. I am very happy about my performance here in Doha," said Wu. "I will keep on improving myself in the future with my team."

Carlos Yulo of the Philippines also picked up two gold medals on Saturday's men's vault and parallel bars.

"Doha is my favorite venue. I like this city and the venue where I had won my maiden World Championships medal in 2018," said Yulo, who is now based in Japan for training, according to the reports on the official website.

South Korean gymnast Yun Jinseong edged off Chinese veteran Lin Chaopan to claim the title on horizontal bar by tie-break rules. Milad Karimi of Kazakhstan won the bronze.
