KINGSTON, June 15 (Xinhua) -- An inspired display from goalkeeper Andre Blake helped Jamaica secure a 1-1 home draw with Mexico in their CONCACAF Nations League clash here in Tuesday.
Leon Bailey gave the hosts the lead with a fourth-minute strike before Luis Romo equalized on the stroke of halftime.
But the standout performer on the night was Blake. The 31-year-old Philadelphia Union player made seven saves to frustrate a Mexico side that had 63% of possession and 18 shots on goal.
The result at Kingston's National Stadium leaves Jamaica with five points from three games, a point ahead of second-placed Mexico and four points clear of third-placed Suriname.
In other fixtures on Tuesday, El Salvador drew 1-1 at home to the United States, Honduras overcame Canada 2-1, and Martinique were held to a goalless home draw by Panama. ■
