RIO DE JANEIRO, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo are in advanced talks to sign Benfica forward Everton Cebolinha, according to media reports in Brazil.
The 26-year-old is tied to the Portuguese outfit until June 2025 but could join Flamengo in the coming days after both clubs established a 14 million-euro transfer fee, the Lance news portal reported on Tuesday.
Flamengo will assume 100% of the attacker's economic rights, it added.
Everton has scored 18 goals and provided 18 assists in 93 outings for Benfica since joining the club from Gremio in 2020.
He has been capped 25 times for Brazil's national team, scoring three goals. ■
