MEIZHOU, China, June 9 (Xinhua) -- The Cangzhou Mighty Lions drew with Meizhou Hakka 1-1 while Shenzhen FC edged Tianjin Jinmen Tiger 2-1 in the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Thursday.
Cangzhou broke the deadlock in the sixth minute when Lin Chuangyi's free kick gifted Zheng Kaimu on the left flank of the box an easy shot to help the team take a 1-0 lead. In the 34th minute, after striker Chisom Egbuchulam failed in a long range volley, Rodrigo Henrique's follow-up shot pulled one back for Meizhou.
Elsewhere, the first half battle between Shenzhen and Tianjin was goalless as Frank Acheampong's goal turned out to be invalid for offside. Shenzhen embraced the breakthrough in the 63rd minute thanks to Dai Wai Tsun's free kick.
The 23-year-old midfielder demonstrated his skill again five minutes later and contributed an accurate corner kick, helping his teammate Pei Shuai hit a header to enlarge the gap.
In stoppage time, Eder Lima won Tianjin a consolation goal with a follow-up shot after Farley Rosa's attempt was denied by the cross bar. ■
