The Shilongba hydropower station is China's first hydropower station.
After being put into use in 1912, it is still in operation today.
Built on the Tanglangchuan river in southwestern Yunnan Province, it provides power to the provincial capital of Kunming through a 32-km-long power line.
The hydropower station has been expanded seven times and now has four units with a total installed capacity of 7,360 kW.
