Kenya's Seroi Anderson, Mongolia's Munkhzaya win at Ulan Bator Int'l Marathon

ULAN BATOR, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Seroi Anderson of Kenya won the men's marathon in two hours 17 minutes and 11 seconds at the Ulan Bator International Marathon here on Saturday.

Mongolia's Dambadarjaa Gantulga placed second in 2:17:48 and his compatriot Narandulam Munkhbayar was third in 2:18:36.

The top three in the women's event were swept by Mongolian runners as Bayartsogt Munkhzaya won in 2:43:46, while Galbadrakh Khishigsuren and Dovdon Badamkhatan took the silver (2:44:02) and bronze (2:57:39) respectively.

Around 30,000 professional and amateur runners from more than 20 countries and regions including Mongolia, China, Kenya, Russia and Kazakhstan competed in the 7th Ulan Bator International Marathon, featuring the full marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km marathons, family marathon and wheelchair marathon.
