SHANGHAI, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Shops and restaurants are gradually reopening in China's economic hub Shanghai as the recent COVID-19 resurgence is under control.
Shanghai's market regulators said on Wednesday that more than 500 food manufacturing companies have resumed production disrupted by the COVID-19 resurgence.
Supermarkets, shopping malls and convenience stores are also restarting the offline business.
The catering business is also resuming. Taking Haidilao hotpot restaurants as an example, the online delivery orders have recovered to 80 percent via its WeChat stores.
