JERUSALEM, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday welcomed the reported U.S. decision to keep Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on its terrorist list.
Keeping Iran's IRGC on the U.S. blacklist "is a right, moral and justified decision by (U.S.) President Biden," Bennett said in a statement, adding he was informed of the move in his last phone call with Biden on April 24.
In recent months, Israel has urged Washington not to remove the IRGC from its blacklist of terrorist groups as part of the emerging nuclear deal, accusing the Iranian armed force of undermining stability in the Middle East.
Israel considers Iran its arch-foe and has carried out numerous airstrikes inside Syria on what it claims to be Iranian military sites. ■
