LHASA, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The Qomolangma National Nature Reserve is one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the world with 509 species of animals, including 82 species of mammals, 390 species of birds and 20 species of reptiles.
A large number of precious images captured here showed the remarkable achievement of wildlife conservation in the Mt. Qomolangma area.
In 1988, the Tibet Autonomous Region officially approved the establishment of Qomolangma Nature Reserve, which was upgraded into a national nature reserve in 1994 with the approval of the State Council.
Up to now, the reserve has established a relatively complete administration system, with a total of 1,281 rangers of all kinds.
