TOKYO, May 19 (Xinhua) -- The schedule and host for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship Finals to be held in Japan have been released by the East Asian Football Federation (EFFF).
Kashima Soccer Stadium in Ibaraki Prefecture and Toyota Stadium in Aichi Prefecture were chosen to host the matches slated from July 19 to 27.
The men's tournament will feature China, Japan, South Korea and China's Hong Kong, while the women's competition draws China, Japan, South Korea, and Chinese Taipei.
The EAFF E-1 Championship Finals was originally scheduled to be held in China, which withdrew its hosting right due to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
